To go with the menswear love, here’s the female side of the TMFU wardrobe. I am still so very madly in love with Victoria’s.
More costuming love, this time focused specifically on the menswear of the film. I just want to roll around in the lushness of the detail.
(Companion post: the female TMFU wardrobe.)
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how ridiculously well dressed the TMFU characters were?
Take Napoleon. His suits are predominantly Timothy Everest. His white shirts are potentially from Zegna, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Hugo Boss, On missions, he potentially wears Alexander McQueen and Gucci. Anachronism aside, if this were a modern day spy caper - oh my.
Illya’s staple wardrobe - let’s exclude the suits he wears as part of his cover - is no slouch either. While nowhere as fancy as Napoleon’s, those are still pretty fine classic pieces he wears in the circumstances: turtlenecks from John Smedley, jackets from Ralph Lauren and Baracuta.
I only hope that Gaby was not actually using a Hermes scarf to keep her hair back while in the chop shop. Ahahaha.
Mostly, suit lust aside, I’m also lusting over Victoria’s wardrobe. Sadly, the suggested clothing matches make me weep. I may need to whip out the trusty ol’ sewing machine.
